SwinduMedia.com – Ketua DPRD Kuningan Nuzul Rachdy, clearly affirmed that the proposal of 3 names for the Acting Regent by the DPRD is in accordance with regulations. Nuzul stated this in his office on Monday (20/11/2023).
Regarding the Acting Regent, Nuzul said, in accordance with Minister of Home Affairs Regulation number 4 of 2023, it is mandated that the Acting Regent be proposed by three levels, namely by the DPRD through the Chairman, by the Provincial Government by the Governor, and by the Ministry of Home Affairs, with each proposing 3 people.
“Long before we made a decision (about the 3 Candidate for Acting Regent of Kuningan, ed), I consulted with the government bureau of West Java Province about one clause, namely the DPRD proposal through the chairman of the council. This is the first time I have seen a decision or regulation worded like that, the DPRD through the chairman of the council,” said Nuzul.
Recognizing that every regulation has its philosophical side, Zul admitted that because this is only a proposal and the authority to decide is in the central government, it is as simple as that. In order to avoid polemics, Zul reiterated that he proposed 3 Candidate for the Acting Regent of Kuningan while still using a collective spirit together with other council leaders.
This situation, said Zul, concerns the budget crisis, including the failure to pay. Secondly, the Acting Regent is expected to restore Kuningan as a progressive region in West Java. This includes resolving the issue of extreme poverty in Kuningan.
“I hope, from the three names, one of them can be chosen as the Acting Regent of Kuningan according to our wishes, even though the decision is entirely in the hands of the central government. Whoever becomes the Acting Regent of Kuningan, because this is a transitional period, should be able to resolve the issues in the Kuningan Regency,” Zul hoped.
