Jakarta – Candidate number 2 for president and Minister of Defense of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized that the key to world peace and prosperity is by maintaining the stability of basic human needs.
This was conveyed by Prabowo when he became the keynote speaker at the Mandiri Investment Forum 2024 event at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/3/2024).
According to Prabowo, in a country’s economy, the priority should be meeting the needs of the people first before other needs. Therefore, regardless of nationality, religion, or economic and political philosophy, every country desires fundamental things for its people, namely life, freedom, and happiness.
“This means that every leader in every country must strive to bring prosperity to their people. Whatever their political ideology, whatever their reforms, whatever our aspirations, every leader in every country surely dreams of achieving prosperity,” said Prabowo.
With the creation of stability, according to Prabowo, a country’s government will be able to realize positive aspirations for the people, namely peace and prosperity.
Especially for traders, farmers, and fishermen. When the economy is running well, there will certainly be a process of buying and selling between the people and the traders, farmers, or fishermen.
“If traders cannot go to the market and sell good products, who will buy the farmers’ produce, who will buy and sell the fishermen’s catch, where will the people meet their basic needs. So, in my opinion, the economy must refer to stability to maintain prosperity,” said Prabowo.
This is certainly a major challenge for the entire world, especially Indonesia which has successfully gained independence and passed down to be safeguarded and managed by its people themselves.
“In my opinion, Indonesia should be proud that we have the independence that we obtained through years of struggle. Independence as a gift that we must strive for,” said Prabowo. (SENOPATI)
