SiwinduMedia.com – Mystery of where the support of the National Mandate Party (PAN) is heading in the Kuningan Regency Regional Head Election finally answered. The PAN DPP officially issued a Recommendation for the Candidate’s name in the Kuningan Regency Regional Head Election to Yanuar Prihatin.
In Recommendation Letter number 1354/PILKADA/VII/2024, the PAN DPP Election Team approved and recommended only one name, namely Yanuar Prihatin as the Prospective Candidate for Kuningan Regency Regent for the period 2024-2029. This recommendation was signed by Viva Yoga Mauladi, Yandri Susanto, and Pangeran K Saleh.
The Recommendation Letter was submitted directly by Yandri Susanto, who is also the deputy chairman of the PAN DPP, to Yanuar Prihatin in Jakarta, on Tuesday (30/7/2024). Yandri Susanto stated that Yanuar Prihatin is his friend, they have served together as members of Commission 2 of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
He emphasized that the PAN DPP will fully support Yanuar Prihatin to be elected as the regent of Kuningan. This deputy chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) also stated that he will also coordinate with the Central Boards of other political parties.
The issuance of this recommendation further strengthens Yanuar Prihatin’s position as a candidate for the Kuningan Regency Regent in 2024. Currently, this yellow-breasted magpie is the only candidate for Kuningan Regent who has received recommendations or assignment letters from four political parties at once, namely the PKB DPP, PPP DPP, Democrat Party DPP, and PAN DPP.
With the support of these four political parties, it is certain that Yanuar Prihatin has already obtained a sufficient ticket towards registering as a regional head candidate in Kuningan. It is also rumored that other political parties in Kuningan will join Yanuar Prihatin.
Yanuar Prihatin is a national politician from the National Awakening Party (PKB), serving as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for two terms (2014-2019 and 2028-2024), representing the West Java X Electoral District (Kuningan, Ciamis, Banjar, Pangandaran). During his time as a member of the House of Representatives, this chairman of the PKB DPP is known to be very diligent in coming to Kuningan for various activities, socializing, and meeting people from various backgrounds in Kuningan.
He has channeled a lot of development programs to Kuningan, either through the local government, village governments, or directly to the people. The total value reaches over 300 billion since 2016 to 2024, including road infrastructure development and repair, school building repair, village government office repair, irrigation and agricultural tools, health equipment, sports facilities, repair of uninhabitable houses of residents, assistance for the less fortunate, scholarships for students, and capital assistance for small businesses and Village-Owned Enterprises (Bumdes), and so on.
Yanuar Prihatin expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the large PAN family for this trust and assignment. He acknowledged that PAN’s support strengthens his motivation to continue communicating and gathering support from various parties, as he has been doing all this time. He believes that the people of Kuningan currently need comprehensive changes and improvements for a more advanced future of Kuningan.
“If elected, I will focus on improving the economy and the welfare of the people. We all know that the unemployment rate and poverty level in Kuningan are quite high,” he emphasized.
According to this deputy chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission 2, people’s purchasing power has decreased, traders’ turnover has decreased, job opportunities are limited, and much more.
This must be seriously addressed with various more realistic and targeted approaches. Yanuar Prihatin is currently promoting his widely known tagline, Kuningan GOLD (Advanced, Just, and Prosperous Economy).
