The NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday garnered 2.926 million viewers on over-the-air FOX, based on Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel metric. While there was a 26 percent increase from the previous year’s Kansas race, it is important to note that last year’s race was broadcast on FS1. In comparison to past years, this viewership falls slightly below the numbers seen in previous April Cup Series races.
This year, the race returned to over-the-air FOX to serve as a lead-in for the IndyCar Series’ Grand Prix of Long Beach. The doubleheader proved to be a success for the network, with the Long Beach race drawing 1.27 million viewers, a significant 130 percent increase from the previous year.
Similarly, The CW saw positive results from the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. The Kansas Lottery 300 race attracted 1.18 million viewers, marking the highest viewership for a Kansas race in the second-tier division since 2023. This viewership was up by 12 percent from the same weekend the previous year.
Since partnering at the beginning of the 2025 campaign, NASCAR on The CW has consistently maintained an average viewership of over a million per race. The collaboration continues to show promising results for both parties.
Overall, these developments in television viewership signify significant growth and interest in motorsports. Racing fans and enthusiasts have shown a strong engagement with the content provided by these networks, paving the way for future opportunities in the industry.
