Current Formula 1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli took a break during Easter to visit Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. Antonelli, who has had a strong start to the 2026 season with consecutive wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, has established himself as a title contender. With the F1 calendar on a five-week hiatus following the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, the Italian driver opted for an exciting weekend at Rossi’s ranch.
Antonelli shared moments from his time at the dirt-track ranch on social media, where he was joined by current MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi and members of the VR46 Academy. While others were out on the track, Antonelli seemed content to observe from the sidelines as the action unfolded.
Heading into the break, Antonelli leads the drivers’ standings with 72 points, followed closely by his Mercedes teammate George Russell with 63 points. “It feels pretty good,” Antonelli remarked after taking the championship lead post the Japanese Grand Prix. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are currently in third and fourth place respectively.
