Bandung – Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto revealed that he had vowed to be ready to die for the nation and people of Indonesia since he was young.
“My brothers and sisters, since the young age of 18, I have pledged to be ready to die for the nation and people of Indonesia,” he said in front of tens of thousands of people at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GLBA) Stadium, Bandung, on Thursday (8/2).
During his struggle, he said he had faced death several times and recited the two testimonies, as taught by the kyai.
“My brothers and sisters, my ustad, my kyai taught me that as a Muslim, before I take my last breath, I must recite the two testimonies,” he said.
“And I have recited the two testimonies three times in my life because I thought, I was called by God,” he explained.
However, he said, God still gave him a chance. Until now, he can still fight in the 2024 Presidential Election with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“But it turns out that God still gives me breath, strength, and health. This means I must fulfill my duty to the nation and people of Indonesia,” he said.
“And now, after I have sacrificed my life for this republic for decades, I cannot bear to still see poor people in Indonesia, I cannot bear it,” he continued. (SENOPATI)
